Over the past 35 years, the application of partial differential equations has revolutionalized the fields of geometry and topology, most remarkably in proving Thurston's geometrization conjecture. Our workshop will stimulate growth in this exciting combination of fields in southern Africa, featuring mini-courses by experts from the United States, as well as other lectures on current research.
